Since 1991, Wenonah Lodge has been caring for Gulgong’s elderly community through the provision of high quality, assisted living, aged care services.
With safety, respect, kindness and a commitment to best practice service standards at the heart of everything we do, our residents are able to enjoy purposeful living whilst receiving the highest level of care 365 days a year either as a full time resident or Home Care recipient.
We are extremely proud of our status as the only aged care facility within the Mid-Western Regional Council and Dubbo Council areas to achieve a 5 star rating in the 2024 Australian Government Star Ratings System, and we vow to continue to work tirelessly to achieve this rating and maintain our upstanding reputation within our community at all times.
Dedicated care for 24 permanent residents
At Wenonah Gulgong, our intimate residence creates a unique environment of contentment, security and a genuine feeling of home. Our attentive staff and volunteers acknowledge each of our residents as individuals and ensure they receive personalised care and the quality of life that they deserve.
With only 25 well-appointed rooms, our facility is just the right size, allowing for dedicated care for 24 permanent residents and 1 single room for short term respite care. Each room has its own recently renovated ensuite, bed, staff call system, and spacious storage in a comfortable, temperature-controlled environment.
We pride ourselves on being respectful, inclusive and values driven, and provide care that caters to the individual needs of our residents, ensuring that everyone feels valued, recognised and safe in a genuinely warm, friendly and comfortable environment.
Home Care Program
At Wenonah Lodge we recognise that sometimes your plans for your golden years may not include the need for an aged care facility, and sometimes that makes the transition from one’s private home to a care facility a little harder. However, we have generally found that many of our future residents have already been introduced to our lovely team and the ideals of our facility via our Home Care Program. This makes the move into full time assisted living a little easier.
Our endeavour to achieve “aging in place” wherever possible, provides greater peace of mind for our new residents taking the first steps into full time residential care, and we do all we can to ensure our residents continue to stay at Wenonah as their need for different levels of care increases

Whilst being professional and accountable in everything we do, we also pride ourselves in creating an ambient environment that feels like home; where the aroma of delicious home cooked meals, laughter of the residents and staff, their carers and visitors, and relaxed décor makes everybody feel comfortable and happy.
